In this video lesson we shall introduce another form of the Minor Scale - The Melodic Form. The melodic minor is a very useful scale, although it is more frequently used in a modal form (much more on this later!) rather than the up/down approach that we cover in this lesson. Never the less, we need to know the intervals and sound of this scale so that we can add it to our improvisation and technical arsenal.
Topics covered in this lesson:
- What is the melodic minor?
- When is it used?
- How do we create it?
