Here's wishing you a very merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It's been a very hectic year here at SaxCasts.com. We've added tons of videos and lesson pdf and taught well over 1000 private saxophone lessons. I'd like to thank you, sincerely for your support of SaxCasts.com and my work here. I'm currently working on a very thorough Jazz Course that is going to take away the confusion and make learning jazz much more enjoyable and less stressful. The new course will released in the New Year with an accompanying pdf. It's taking a long time to compile so please bare with me, I promise it will be worth the wait!Your Sax Playing
I've been getting a fair few links to people recording their own playing and I know how scary it can be to not only play in public but also record it. Well done if you have managed to do this! There really isn't better experience than attending a local open mic night or joining a local ensemble. I run several saxophone ensembles / jazz workshops in the Chesterfield (Uk) area so definitely try and find one near you.
Here is a link to Gordon playing SaxCast's version of Jingle Bell Rock at his local Jam Night. Way to go Gordon I'm really happy that you got up there and did a great job!New Lesson Package (Limited places, first come first serve)
For a limited time I am offering a weekly lesson package. You'll get access to SaxCasts plus a weekly lesson in person or via Skype/Google Talk. Please get in touch with me if you'd like to upgrade your current membership to this.Next Year
What are your Saxophone goals for next year? They're really important for your motivation. Set realistic goals. It could be to play at an open mic night, an exam, join a band, play a particular piece, get some private lessons. Setting targets are going to get you everything you want on your sax.I'll leave it there for now. Once again, have a great Christmas and here's wishing you and your families all the best for the coming new year!
